Awana's Grand Prix

The kids and Doug put tons of time and energy into making the "best" cars. Last Wednesday night we raced at the First Baptist church. The kids had a good time. However, our TnTers (Kimberly and Ethan's) cars didn't win. Jayden surprised us all and got Second Place right after his buddy Emily. His other buddy Olivia got the big trophy for "Best in Show". All in all it was a fun night.

Two Very Important People

Friday was pretty special for our oldest. Kimberly got the Great Author Award and Honor Roll Award at the Assembly. Then at lunch Ethan was Awarded V. I. P. It is so nice when the stars Aline and both kids can be honored on the same day.

Emily's Birthday and School Ski Trip

Thursday, January 14th Kimberly's best friend turned 11. The girls had a great time they went on the school ski trip that night and then had a sleep over at Emily's. I really think the girls got little or no sleep that night.

Sadie

We have the best dog, Sadie. She is good with kids and with kittens. She doesn't like people walking by HER fence or skunks near HER trailer. She thinks rose beds are for sleeping in and walks are for exploring new smells. She has been loved and will be remembered FOREVER! We will always miss you. Rest in Peace.

Kimberly is the Geography Champ

Last Thursday Kimberly competed in the Wilson School Geography Bee and WON!!! The mayor of our town was the person who asked the questions and Kimberly was a little shy when I asked to take there picture together.

Lunch at the Mona Lisa's at 4 and 5 Years Old

I know this makes it seem like I always go out for lunch but truly it is that kind of month (thus my increasing waistline). Jayden was so excited that Ashley was at his Grandma Lauretta's house a week ago Thursday and so we all decided to go to lunch with Peggy and Grandma before their "bingo appointment." It was fun to have Debbie (Ashley's Grandma), Kim (Ashley's mom), Tyler (Ashley's little brother), Me and Jayden out for a "fancy" lunch! As you can see Ashley and Jayden behaved like little angels (ha, ha)!

Our Annual Q and U Wedding

The lovers got to school early for this pose in front of the wedding cake. Margaret always does an amazing job on the cake. I had to laugh with Jayden and the boys with their Q bow ties and Ashley and the girls with their U veils. All to learn the letter Q! It was Quite an event! I think Jayden got it because after school we met my friends for lunch at Quiznos!

PJ Party at PreKG

For P week we dressed in our newest Grandma Margaret creations not to mention our pillows and Pooh bear (since you can't really see your PJs). It was a great and relaxing day at work. My Grandfather often takes me to Olive Garden for lunch. Of course he picked PJ day when we had pizza at school. I resisted all for my wonderful breadsticks!!!

New Year's Eve GOOD TIMES!!

Happy Birthday to My Awesome Hubby!!

So I had too much fun taking pictures on Doug's birthday so I am putting in an extra "cutie pie" picture of Jayden I couldn't fit on in my digital page. Doug's birthday was December 30th so needless to say Christmas is a busy time for us.

What is My Problem!!!

Kids are gone, Doug is outside. These two things NEVER happen so I need to catch up this silly thing. It has been haunting me for weeks. And what am I doing procrastinating. Why do I do that even with things I love to do??? I must work better under pressure. My brain is like my stomach it only looks (works well) good if it is in a control top (environment). CRAZY I tell you!

A Lucky New Year

Christmas Eve we always have the kids hunt for baby Jesus. We think that whoever finds it will have a lucky year. SO......

Snow Play

The day after Christmas we decided to go sledding. After A LOT of driving we found the perfect hills above Lucky Peak. Jayden stayed down on the low hill while the rest of the wild sledders climbed the MOUNTAIN. I personally enjoyed the weenie roast. Nothing better then a Winter Picnic.
