Talk about FUN!!! I had a special crop at my house Saturday night. The turn out was terrific with eight very energetic ladies ready to dig in. We had an incredible meal of creamy chicken enchiladas complete with salad and fresh bread. Two ladies completed entire albums and Maryhelen got the prize for completing twenty-one 12x12 pages. Spirits 
were high and the time flew. The feature project 
was paper pinwheels. They are so cute! Jayden had a big treat before heading to bed Jewel read his new Berenstein Bear book. It made his night. All in all it was a really perfect event.
Saturday was a "Pre"historic day at Teaching World. Jayden got up at the crack of dawn and dressed in his triceratops shirt. He hated waiting for me to get ready. The classrooms were set up with seven dif
ferent centers. Each child was given a punch card to travel around to all the centers. When all dinosaurs got punched the kids could go in the jump house and get a Brontosaurus Burger. My center was the Stegosaurus Bean Bag food toss. Grandma did the jump house (brave woman) and Poppy and John made the Brontosaurus Burgers. Of course the big hit was the jump house but many of my students were fascinated with the real fossils that Miss 
Jennifer's dad shared and loved to pretend to be real paleontologists and search in the sand table for fossils. Debbie did an 
amazing job getting this entire event organized. Jayden's true enjoyment was telling anyone who would listen that "Miss Robin" was the Dinosaur. What a DIG!
Last Thursday night we had some very educational entertainment. At the Caldwell High School Auditorium the Wilson 4th Grade class put on a wonderful program. The theme was Idaho History. Kimberly and her classmates did an amazing job reciting facts, singing, and dancing. Kimberly's group did a square dance that was quite lively. My favorite number was "Oh my darling Clementine" Emily played the drownding Clementine and Mathew who has been in the girls class since Kindergarten played the 
forlorn boyfriend. The added humor was the Matt does have a crush on Emily so this was perfect. I have to say I learned some things about our dear state I didn't know either. The fourth grade teachers along with Wilson School's amazing music teacher did a great job teaching these kids about our GREAT STATE!
Friday was the quarter's awards assembly. Margaret, Jayden and I went to see Kimberly get her Honor Roll award. I was so proud she got all A+s and one A. She is such a smartie :). Anyway, while we were there they gave out another award for an essay contest in 4th on agriculture. I guess watching "Little House" pays off (hee, hee) because Kimberly won $15 for her second place essay. Kimberly was most excited because her best friend got third place so they both won awards together! .jpg)

My mother-in-law is an incredibly talented lady. One of her specialties is quilting. I have shown where she made a beautiful quilt just recently with Kimberly but today I want to share the boys' new quilts. They are just as beautiful. On one side they have stars all over a dark blue sky back ground on the other side the planets in bright brilliant colors a
re displayed. Jayden likes the star side and Ethan the planets (today :)) I love that they can be reversed. THANK YOU GRANDMA!!!
After an amazing Easter Baptism Service we
headed over to my Grandma's house. We were all very excited for dinner. My Grandma put on quite a spread of food. Unfortunately we were quite early and the rest of the family got there about an hour later. Jayden was very anxious for the egg hunt. We had spent a huge amount of time the day before pealing hard 
boiled eggs for deviled eggs. Lots of work, but very delicious. Needless to say EGGS were totally on the brain. Luckily Tanner (my cousin's three year old) came to distract Jayden. They had a blast playing, eating and eventually 
hunting. Tanner and Jayden even dumped out their goodies to check them all out. Doug and Jamie (my cousin) played a mean trick on the boys with some SOUR filled eggs. Tanner ate without warning and spit most of it up in the bathroom. Jayden did it on a dare for a dollar from Uncle Jamie. My highlight was that my Aunt Gail was able to join us for an hour. In fact my Grandpa was 
there too, believe it or not he just got back from visiting my Uncle in Seattle who would know he was in the hospital less then three weeks ago. All in all we all had a nice time visiting. Of course Jayden's highlight was Aunt Tina (my cousin's wife's) CHOCOLATE BUNNY CAKE! GG (my Grandma) gave him a second piece. He was on a sugar high the rest of the day. He was all to excited when Kimberly and Ethan got home to share all the goodies he got.
Last Saturday was incredible. Jayden and I along with my good friend Robin and her kids went out to the annual Eas
ter Egg Hunt and fun at the church. When we got there we were lucky enough to see the real bunnies to pet. The program started in the sanctuary with a skit and lots of praise choruses. Adrian really got into the music. The skit was about all the signs of Spring that go along 
with Easter that have a spiritual background. My favorite is 
the butterfly. How the caterpillar represents Christ on Earth and the cocoon represents him in the grave and the beautiful butterfly represents Christ rising from the grave and the new life we can have with him in our heart. After chapel time we all got balloons to release into the air sharing our joy that Christ has brought us 
new life. Then an EGG HUNT! It was so much fun to see even baby Tyler out there enjoying the beautiful spring day. I think the highlight for Jayden was that all his buddies were there including: Ashley, Olivia, Adrian, Wade and Tucker. It was a lot of excitement!
Today was a nice lazy day. Kimberly and I did our favorite thing and watched some "Little House" episodes we checked out of the library. One really caught my attention because it hit close to home. Charles was out of work because the mill closed. They had a huge bill at the Mercantile and had to all pull together to raise the money to pay the bill. Harriet was terribly rude to Caroline and even the Reverend Alden had to step in and make sure everyone was okay. It made me think about how we have lost a lot of the pulling together and brotherly love that communities used to have. I think Jesus needs us to start remembering each other like they did in the "good old days."
With Easter a week away we have begun our 12 day hunt of Resurrection Eggs. I SO LOVE THIS!!!! Doug or I hide one egg a day with an object that symbolizes a part of the real Easter story. If you have never heard of these you need to check them out. Years ago I was planning to make a set of these for Kimberly then luckily someone made them. I pray my kids remember this tradition over any other we do. Because God loved us so much we get to love each other. Enjoy this Easter Week!
was optional but some of us really took it seriously. There was even someone who made a special trip to the DI for the appropriate attire. It was hilarious! I felt like it was a trip back in time. I have to know if others remember: stretch pants, shoulder pads, teased hair, big shirts with belts, and legwarmers. With lip gloss and blue eyeshadow I felt completely like a teenager again I even found my old sunglasses from high school to wear. Robin's outfit made me want to pull out my old Jane Fonda workout tapes. Talk about good times! To top it off I was the BIG WINNER!! Yea for me! Amy's dad even made a special Bunco cake, it was gorgeous and had it not been for lent I would have devoured it. Here we go again, the first Friday of the month is definitely a favorite day of mine. We really missed Angie tonight, she better be there next time. I am excited to be the host this coming month. BUNCO ROCKS!!!
