New Camera, Crazy Weather, and a Chipped Tooth

So I have still not taken a shower. It is 2:30 in the afternoon and I am in sweats and my hair back. I NEVER go anywhere until I take a shower (okay except Curves). Well as you can see this morning I spent on the computer catching up my blog. I got done and decided to bundle up Jayden because he needed some fresh air. Took my first picture with my new camera, I would like to title it SPRING ATTIRE. Anyway, then I started to straighten up the house and thought maybe I better jump in the shower. The phone rings it is Ethan, he chipped two teeth playing soccer at recess. SO I run down to the school give him some pain killer and send him to class (this is with Jayden in toe). Get home call the dentist they say they close in a half hour and that I needed to bring him in now. SO back in the car get Ethan from school take him to the dentist and then back to school. CRAZY now time for a shower (since I saw everyone in town already I might as well try to pull it together). Oh did I mention Samantha is having a "playdate" with Lucy. I truly do LOVE being a mom.

We are Current!

Doug brought home a new camera for me last night so I had a MAJOR incentive to get this blog caught up. Our cheep camera that we got on our trip takes interesting pictures so it has been difficult to want to post my terrible quality pictures. Now that I will be sharing some GREAT pictures I wanted to get my act together. Spring in my family is always full of fun activites I love to post so now we can share our daily fun. I have to admit even with bad photos it was fun to recap April's exciting activities. I love my family!!!

Beach Party

Earlier on Wednesday we ended our Ocean unit and had a party. These two cuties came prepared in their "SUN" supplies!

Awana Awards

Jayden learned so much at Cubbies the past three years it was fun to see him get his last Cubbie Coodoos. Ethan got his first book award which made us all so proud. Kimberly got the Timothy Award which is the top award that you can receive if you go through and pass all the memory work books. We just feel so blessed that the kids are getting God's word hidden in their hearts. Having a Bible is wonderful but having it in your heart and mind so when life brings you times of trouble you can dwell on God's promises is essential for survival. Thank you Lord for blessing my little blessings.

Jayden's Jellyfish Report

For PreKg we are doing Ocean Reports. Jayden was very excited to do Jellyfish on April 20th. I have to say you learn alot about how you teach when you watch your little "teachers" share!

Wilson Awards

Our little smartie on April 19th got both Honor Roll and Good Citizen. Her honor choir sang too. It was a very enjoyable assembly. She was so amazing! We couldn't be prouder.

Syler's Blessing

Bryan came back from Saudia Arabia and sweet baby Syler had a blessing at less then a week old. It was so precious Sunday April 18th to witness this blessing at Grandma Margaret and Grandpa Allan's house. GG held her newest great grand son. Jayden loved his new cousin. It was so neat to see this strong family prepare for their next journey.

Boy's Camp Out

Doug took the JUST the boys camping Thursday, April 15th.

National Geography Bee

On April 9th we went to Boise State University along with the other top 100 finalists. It was so cool there was a map of Idaho with all of the finalist's name. They each got to sign it and take a picture next to it. It was kinda hard to sit and wait for Kimberly to compete because we couldn't watch. She was very glad when her round was done. We are so proud of her hard work.

Backwards Day

Jayden was so excited to be snack and Mystery Bag on Backwards Day April 7th.

Easter Fun

This was a great Easter. The Eggstravaganza on the Saturday before Kimberly and some of our Fifth Grade Girls got to lead the music. They did an incredible job. We had our Easter dinner and hunt at my parents house. It was so nice. We got to do all the normal stuff like paint eggs, make cookies, and hunt for them but our highlight was seeing our friend Karissa get baptized. He has risen indeed!

Spring Break March 28-April 1

We had an incredible time in Seattle. We got the city passes and made sure we did it ALL! We stayed in an amazing hotel with a glass elevator, a goldfish pond, workout gym, and of course a POOL. We also went to the top of the Space Needle, the music museum, science museum, Aquarium, Zoo, and sailing on the Spirit of Seattle. We used the city transportation and even went to the Pike Street market. We did get in some family visiting with my Aunt Suzie and Hank. We also got to see Uncle Tony's boat and play with Luisa and Terry. It was a world wind of activity. I decided it has to be in a book all by itself so for this post I just made a big colleague of some of my favorite photos.

The Rain Forest Cafe

I was determined to take the kids to the Rain Forest Cafe. We had taken Kimberly and Ethan the last time we were up here. That was seven years ago so of course Jayden had never been there. I was SO excited especially since we ended up sitting in the same table we did then. I wish I had gotten the same picture but at least you can see the elephants.
