New Years Eve

This will be a New Years Eve we will all remember for a long, long time. We planned to celebrate Doug and Kimberly's family birthday with a special homemade chocolate cake and playing games at Doug's parents house. My parents were there, as well as Doug's sister Elisha and brother-in-law Brandon. We were waiting for Doug's sister Marie and family who lives in Moscow, ID to come down to visit. We thought it would be a very quite New Years Eve. In fact the plan was to pretend 10pm was midnight let the kids set off some poppers and head home to bed. Boy, were we wrong about a quite evening. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and in runs a little wiener dog. It was my brother Eric and his family!! We were all so surprised and excited to have them come down to visit. We laughed and visited. It was so much fun. Then Doug's sister did get there and we played and visited again. Jayden and Kimberly were in hog heaven playing with both sets of cousins. After letting their poppers go on the back porch Jayden, Ashton, and Terron played with package bubble wrap while the big boys played outside with firecrackers. Needless to say we didn't get to bed until it was truly the New Year. If this is an indication of 2009 I would predict a year full of family and surprises.
